Looking for a venue for your next performance?  Why not hire the Prospect Theatre?

Opened by his Royal Highness the Duke of Wessex in 2000, the Prospect Theatre is a modern, purpose-built theatre space with raked, removable seating for up to 184 patrons with the capacity to increase this to 300.

It is a traditional, proscenium arch space with the flexibility of offering a more intimate, black box studio arrangement with a seating capacity of 40. Different staging configurations can be arranged with consultation; the space can flexibly accommodate in-the-round, traverse and thrust configurations with moveable, one level seating.

The theatre houses a fully-integrated, Zero88 operated lighting system controlling a 72 channel half fixed/half flown lighting rig, with additional headroom for DMX-controlled fixtures. The tech box houses a 48 channel intelligent lighting desk with easy programming for shows.

A state-of-the-art digital sound system, offers a professional and crisp sound. The performance area houses a 24in/4out stagebox for live sound set-ups, whilst the tech box houses 2 auto-cueing CD players for playback and a 16 channel digital mixing desk, allowing easy and flexible control of the sound.

The tech box also controls the theatre's projection unit. Projection in the theatre can be run in a variety of different ways, from conference-style presentation set-ups, to larger-scale theatrical displays.

The theatre also houses our ambient Front of House receiving area (above centre) with Box Office desk, space to serve drinks, hot and cold running water, refrigeration and a dishwasher.

Two dressing rooms backstage are completed by mirrored make-up tables, shower and toilet facilities.

The Dance Studio (above right) is also available to hire.  Adjacent to the theatre the dance studio features a sprung floor, floor-to-ceiling mirrors and fully functioning lighting rig.
